Step 1 — Create Your Account

Visit mtaani.site/register.html and sign up. During registration you will choose your account type:

Fill in your name, email address, and a strong password, then click Create Account. You will be logged in immediately — no email verification delay.

Step 2 — List Your Business

This section applies to Business Owners.

After logging in, go to your Dashboard. Under the My Businesses tab, click Add Business. Fill in the following details:

  • Business Name — use the name your customers know you by
  • Category — choose the closest match (Restaurant, Retail, Technology, Health, etc.)
  • Description — write 2–4 sentences explaining what makes your business unique. Mention your neighbourhood or landmark for local SEO.
  • Contact Details — phone number and email so customers can reach you directly
  • Address & Location — type your address and use the interactive map to pin your exact location. Accurate coordinates ensure you appear in nearby searches.
  • Cover Photo — upload a high-quality image (JPG or PNG). Listings with photos receive significantly more views than those without.

Step 3 — Create an Event

In your Dashboard, go to the My Events tab and click Add Event. Provide:

  • Category — Music, Food & Drink, Sports, Workshop, Community, etc.
  • Description — what attendees can expect, who it's for, and why they shouldn't miss it
  • Date & Time — the exact date your event takes place

  • Price — enter the ticket price, or set it to 0 for free events
  • Event Photo — a vivid banner image makes your event stand out on the listings page

Your event appears under mtaani.site/events.html and is automatically sorted by upcoming date, giving timely events maximum visibility.

Step 4 — List Your Services

This section applies to Service Providers.

Services on Mtaani are standalone offerings — independent of a physical business. Perfect for freelancers, tradespeople, and professionals. In your Dashboard, go to the My Services tab and click Add Service:

  • Service Name — e.g. "Professional Plumbing Repairs" or "SEO & Digital Marketing"
  • Category — choose from 16 categories including Home Services, Beauty, Technology, Legal, Photography, and more
  • Description — explain what you do, your experience, and the areas you serve
  • Price Range — set a from/to price so customers know what to expect
  • Availability — mark as Available, Limited, or Unavailable to manage customer expectations
  • Tags — add relevant keywords (e.g. "same-day", "licensed", "Nairobi CBD") that help customers find you in search
  • Contact & Location — add your phone, email, and service area map pin
  • Service Photo — upload a photo of your work or a professional headshot
